This is a mirror of the original BitMEX trollbox archive that used to be online here.
BitMEX disabled their archive after the DDOS attack so I have decided to make my mirror publicly available.

Well now, a few days after I made this mirror available to the public, the original archive from BitMEX is online again.
But since it is still limited (neutered to the last few hundred messages) I will keep my FULL mirror alive.

You have access to more than 50 million trollbox posts. This is more than 7 gigabyte of data hosted on a $5 server so please be patient or consider a donation

[2024-02-08 07:48:42] Joeyy132 : Come on
[2024-02-08 07:50:44] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : Joeyy132: what's the difference between doing xbtusd and xbtusdt?
[2024-02-08 07:51:19] jjhiijiji : xbtusd used btc as margin and xbtusdt uses usdt as margin
[2024-02-08 07:51:46] jjhiijiji : they are same price
[2024-02-08 07:53:09] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : so essentially no discernible difference to trades and profits?
[2024-02-08 07:54:47] jjhiijiji : yeah besides the fact that ur margin is held in btc/usdt there is 0 difference as far as i know
[2024-02-08 07:56:12] jjhiijiji : i prefer accumulating btc and since im long term bullish i prefer using xbtusd so my account sits in btc and my gains are in btc
[2024-02-08 07:56:33] jjhiijiji : if u wanna be sitting in usdt and have ur gains in dollars might as well jusst use usdt
[2024-02-08 08:00:02] jjhiijiji : when i feel bullrun is over i will switch over to xbtusdt and trade with that so my btc isnt losing value and my acocunt is sitting in usdt
[2024-02-08 08:00:11] jjhiijiji : my account*
[2024-02-08 08:00:30] jjhiijiji : so u dont lose dollar value while btc dropping
[2024-02-08 08:01:26] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : jjhiijiji: that's great, thanks
[2024-02-08 08:01:51] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : yeah, i prefer my profits in BTC so will keep xbtusd
[2024-02-08 08:02:29] jjhiijiji : my opinion is were in a bull market atm so seems reasonable to be in xbtusd
[2024-02-08 08:02:53] Werner : 🚀🚀🚀
[2024-02-08 08:02:56] jjhiijiji : wud be a shame to be losing out on gains from btc simply going up
[2024-02-08 08:06:14] Hexagon : BTC :catjam:
[2024-02-08 08:06:18] Joeyy132 : Crypto_Cowboy_1982: it’s better to get your profits in btc because the btc also increased. Usdt better when shorting
[2024-02-08 08:06:25] The_Reaper : Wazzawazza rekt?
[2024-02-08 08:06:41] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : Joeyy132: clear guys, thanks
[2024-02-08 08:06:42] Joeyy132 : I prefer to keep it simple I expect capitualtion any day so will not hold btc
[2024-02-08 08:06:53] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : Joeyy132: :(
[2024-02-08 08:07:30] Joeyy132 : The_Reaper: probabky
[2024-02-08 08:07:47] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : The_Reaper: always REKT
[2024-02-08 08:07:52] Joeyy132 : Crypto_Cowboy_1982: the usd pair is also way more liduid
[2024-02-08 08:07:55] Joeyy132 : liquid
[2024-02-08 08:09:21] Joeyy132 : I have no tp now let it fly maybe I tp at 53k

[2024-02-08 08:23:38] jjhiijiji : ill probably take a little bit more profit if we reach 45k and try to readd at one point when we correct a little (if we even correct from there)
[2024-02-08 08:32:49] fcarvas : Bull trap is loading

[2024-02-08 08:38:37] jjhiijiji : fcarvas: u still shorting tops? ;p
[2024-02-08 08:42:25] fcarvas : jjhiijiji: I'm still long and I will close in the next pump. If we don't break 49k, it's a trap and I will short
[2024-02-08 08:43:41] Joeyy132 : @jjhijiji pay me the 50 dollars you owe me bitch
[2024-02-08 08:44:45] Joeyy132 : Little wasteman doesn’t pay his debts

[2024-02-08 08:45:49] Joeyy132 : your poor children having a dad like you
[2024-02-08 08:47:04] bumbumwillybum : Joeyy132: bro, do you ever sleep? i go to bed at 2Am and yore here trash talking everyone then i wake up at 6 and youre still here going at them. LOL
[2024-02-08 08:47:39] Joeyy132 : bumbumwillybum: lol only trash talking one guy
[2024-02-08 08:47:53] Joeyy132 : and yeah I went to sleep about 6 hours ago got up 2 hours ago
[2024-02-08 08:48:00] bumbumwillybum : LOL i know but i admire your sheer dedication
[2024-02-08 08:48:01] Joeyy132 : had 4.5 hours sleep
[2024-02-08 08:48:09] bumbumwillybum : lol
[2024-02-08 08:48:17] bumbumwillybum : you do that alot?
[2024-02-08 08:48:27] bumbumwillybum : that shits gonna kill you.
[2024-02-08 08:48:37] Joeyy132 : bumbumwillybum: I get about 4-6 hours every night when I’m working
[2024-02-08 08:48:46] Joeyy132 : weekedns I get more
[2024-02-08 08:49:02] RonnieREKT : 🔥 Liquidated short on `SOLUSD`: Buy 10 Cont @ 101.67 ($45.48)
[2024-02-08 08:49:39] bumbumwillybum : fuck man, i cant get less than 7hours for more than 2-3 days in a row or im dead, but i suppose i play alot of sport so it probably draisn me more than anything]\
[2024-02-08 08:50:01] jjhiijiji : Joeyy132: that was pretty low insulting my family like that even for you
[2024-02-08 08:50:55] jjhiijiji : i know ur salty cause i called out ur crap but dont bring my children into this
[2024-02-08 08:56:00] jjhiijiji : i get it, when i pointed out that even bankers and policy advisers cant 100% predict markets with their broad data and knowledge, you got salty cause you realised how silly it is when you make 'guaranteed' calls. showd everyone how deluded you are in your beliefs. but to sart insulting my family cause of ur bitter just shows how extremely immature you are. grow up
[2024-02-08 08:57:18] jjhiijiji : now ull probably just start insulting calling me bitch adn asking for 50 dollars, go ahead, keep showing how immature you are. its urself ur hurting not me. just be at least man enough to not make insults which include my children
[2024-02-08 08:57:42] laPanini : Nothing can ever be guarantueed, we all know this. However, been following around for some time, when Joey do 'guarantuee' something, there is actually a higher than average chance it will play out. Its about being open minded and try to see why and if you agree, you play, if not, you stay out.
[2024-02-08 08:58:02] jjhiijiji : we dont 'all' know this
[2024-02-08 08:58:07] jjhiijiji : some people are deluded enough to believe it
[2024-02-08 08:58:16] jjhiijiji : ive noticed, joey does make quite a few good calls
[2024-02-08 08:58:20] laPanini : I actually saw gold in the charts the other day, which made me believe that we would break to to upside.
[2024-02-08 08:59:05] jjhiijiji : even a coin flip would probably guess direction correctly hald the time. joey is a bit better than a coinflip for sure. all i did was try to tone it down from guaranteed certainty to just probabilities
[2024-02-08 08:59:16] jjhiijiji : and the man goes nuts and starts throwing insults and even mentioning my children.. thats low
[2024-02-08 08:59:29] laPanini : I see 45.4-46.7 as possible reversal points.
[2024-02-08 08:59:47] jjhiijiji : funny thing is he cant even admit there are no guarantees
[2024-02-08 08:59:48] jjhiijiji : he insists
[2024-02-08 08:59:50] jjhiijiji : like a child
[2024-02-08 08:59:54] laPanini : That does not mean it will reverse there, nor that it will ever hit. But thats my game.
[2024-02-08 09:01:08] jjhiijiji : laPanini: thats the difference. you can at least admit that its just a probability call that might or might not play out. i simply explained how data from charts or anything else cant erally 100% guarantee it and he went insane cause it showed to people that anyone who has 100% guarantees clearly doesnt undertand properly whats going on
[2024-02-08 09:01:23] jjhiijiji : anyone that does understand, will say like you, that it is a probability and not a guarantee
[2024-02-08 09:01:33] jjhiijiji : thats why i respect you, you arent full of sh!t
[2024-02-08 09:01:41] jjhiijiji : i simply called out a simple fact. that u cant guarantee
[2024-02-08 09:01:56] jjhiijiji : and now hes talking about my children. what is that sh!t.. for me thats very low
[2024-02-08 09:02:56] jjhiijiji : i never said joey is wrong all the time or anth like that
[2024-02-08 09:03:17] jjhiijiji : he has made many good calls, but also many bad ones like shorting 30 - 40ks. but whatever idont mind if he made bad calls also thats just how the game is
[2024-02-08 09:03:30] laPanini : In this case, after what I spotted i could almost call it a guarantuee, the question was only when at that point. However, i would never scream it out as a guarantuee, just print rockets and stuff.
[2024-02-08 09:03:35] jjhiijiji : if he was a man, he would admit he has made bad calls and that you cant 'really' guartantee 100% in this game
[2024-02-08 09:03:44] laPanini : we all made bad calls.
[2024-02-08 09:03:45] jjhiijiji : instead he just insults and shout
[2024-02-08 09:03:54] jjhiijiji : thats low. shows immaturity
[2024-02-08 09:04:21] jjhiijiji : comes here playing all gangsta like he can predict the future with a crystal ball and whne smeone disagrees based on reasonable claims he insults? come on
[2024-02-08 09:04:26] laPanini : There are a few in the trollbox that behaves irrational from time to time.
[2024-02-08 09:04:54] laPanini : When I was "new" to trollbox i was triggered as well rather often. These days I just dont care.
[2024-02-08 09:05:37] jjhiijiji : i didnt care that much till he mentioned my children thats going a little too far for me personally
[2024-02-08 09:05:41] jjhiijiji : you might not mind and thats fine
[2024-02-08 09:06:14] laPanini : No one in the trollbox knows me nor my family, so any insults directed that way is actually directed into thin air.
[2024-02-08 09:06:32] jjhiijiji : u have thicker skin than me
[2024-02-08 09:07:01] jjhiijiji : ur right though i should just ignore it
[2024-02-08 09:07:04] jjhiijiji : its silly
[2024-02-08 09:07:15] laPanini : Yeah, let it pass.
[2024-02-08 09:07:21] Hexagon : just a troll in a box sir
[2024-02-08 09:08:15] jjhiijiji : us hot blooded mediterraneans eh ;)
[2024-02-08 09:08:50] laPanini : hahah. :)
[2024-02-08 09:09:21] laPanini : Never let them get under your skin, once they succeed, they will dig deep until youre furious.
[2024-02-08 09:09:39] laPanini : Sometimes its just best to let trolls talk to them selves as muppets.
[2024-02-08 09:10:11] laPanini : Joey is actually a good guy behind all that.
[2024-02-08 09:10:24] jjhiijiji : i even said yesterday i usually liked joey and got along with him
[2024-02-08 09:10:47] jjhiijiji : its a shame he got all bitter just cause i trried to logically explain why people who guarantee clearly are unaware of complex nature of the market
[2024-02-08 09:11:44] MrBritcoin : 33k
[2024-02-08 09:11:45] jjhiijiji : he got defensive instead of trying to deal with it reasonably, which is not something you should do unless ur insecure or unwilling to critisize urself
[2024-02-08 09:11:51] jjhiijiji : all signs of immaturity
[2024-02-08 09:11:59] jjhiijiji : anyway ill let it slide like u said fck it
[2024-02-08 09:16:25] laPanini : MrBritcoin: from here? not from slightly higher?
[2024-02-08 09:16:40] jjhiijiji : MrBritcoin: ur long was open yesterday right??
[2024-02-08 09:19:00] jjhiijiji : astrology wise, 32 - 34k area for me is the lowest retest point where i would still remain bullish.
[2024-02-08 09:19:19] jjhiijiji : anything below that is probably goblin town for real
[2024-02-08 09:19:46] laPanini : i heard its good weather in goblin town these days.
[2024-02-08 09:19:48] jjhiijiji : id be longing the fck out of low 30ks if i had the chance
[2024-02-08 09:20:03] jjhiijiji : wheres gandalf ;<
[2024-02-08 09:20:38] jjhiijiji : this is for you gandalf wherever you are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogTDa-vG2MQ
[2024-02-08 09:20:52] laPanini : have not seen gandalf for months
[2024-02-08 09:20:55] jjhiijiji : yeh
[2024-02-08 09:21:57] jjhiijiji : i remember smeone would also pop up when gandalf was here and say 'i was there gandalf, i was there the day the strength of men failed'
[2024-02-08 09:22:02] laPanini : im considering to close my large hedge long at 786 and keep my short open. Might be unwise, who knows, but profit is profit.

[2024-02-08 09:29:18] MrBritcoin : laPanini: this is the high
[2024-02-08 09:29:47] jjhiijiji : lets hope ur wrong ;D im keeping long open
[2024-02-08 09:30:11] MrBritcoin : greed will kill you
[2024-02-08 09:30:12] laPanini : MrBritcoin: its just that it stopped right infront my last target, when it does that, there is usually one last sweep/fakeout looming.
[2024-02-08 09:30:43] jjhiijiji : MrBritcoin: im not being greedy, ive closed 20% already for some profits and my take profit gets me a little more profit lower down near 43500
[2024-02-08 09:31:04] jjhiijiji : stop loss*
[2024-02-08 09:31:08] laPanini : i dont like it when my final target gets front runned.

[2024-02-08 09:39:57] jjhiijiji : and for all the TA peeps, doesnt it look like inverse h&s on the large hourly charts forming to you? left side is the drop down from 48k and now right side coming back up. i thought astrology boys would be all over this pattern
[2024-02-08 09:40:48] jjhiijiji : definitely wont be closing long any time soon, just raising stop loss higher and higher into profit and riding it as it goes
[2024-02-08 09:41:54] laPanini : Also OI keeps increasing, meaning people actually buys this pump. However, it is reaching a climactic level which means that an OI reset/flush is scheduled.
[2024-02-08 09:42:06] jjhiijiji : if u ask me, just flip flopping into a short seems greedier than just setting stop loss in decent profit. @MrBritcoin
[2024-02-08 09:42:19] jjhiijiji : trying to time tops or bottoms at the tip is extremely difficult and risky

[2024-02-08 09:46:56] laPanini : The question right now is, will the OI flush be a short queeze or a long squeeze. My bet is it will start with a short squeeze and the followed by a long squeeze. Lets see, were entering exciting zones.
[2024-02-08 09:47:16] Joeyy132 : Exciting indeed
[2024-02-08 09:48:17] jjhiijiji : i definitely wouldnt enter a long here. if ur already in a long thats great but opening here seems dodgy af

[2024-02-08 12:51:25] Joeyy132 : retail not controlling the pump any more
[2024-02-08 12:51:30] Joeyy132 : exchanges dumping on us
[2024-02-08 12:52:22] jjhiijiji : so ur saying yesterday it pumped because retail decided to buy loads of btc within a few hours. is there somekind of retail telegram group with all retailers coordinating their actions?
[2024-02-08 12:52:53] laPanini : retail psychology never changes, its the same routine again and again :rocket:
[2024-02-08 12:53:14] jjhiijiji : id think a big giveaway that shows its not retail which caused the pump is in how much of a short time frame it happens in
[2024-02-08 12:53:46] jjhiijiji : retail buys move us slowly up and down but big moves happen within minutes, huge buys by a few people/roups (not retail) and is fueld extra by retail liquidations
[2024-02-08 12:54:55] jjhiijiji : at most retail is helps with exit and entry liquidity and helps fuel big moves through liquidations. at most
[2024-02-08 12:55:34] laPanini : we all know that all retail buy at the exact same time. :rocket:
[2024-02-08 12:55:46] jjhiijiji : anyone staring at minute charts and see that almost all big moves up and down happen within minutes, for any logical person, would show - hey this isnt retail, someone/a group of ppl decided to buy or sell in this moment
[2024-02-08 12:55:47] laPanini : preferably at the top of a green stick :rocket:
[2024-02-08 12:56:02] jjhiijiji : so easy to see
[2024-02-08 12:56:32] jjhiijiji : so mind boggling that people can see volume come in within a minute and change price and people can look at that and say - 'hey, that must be retail,, all deciding to buy in at the same minute'
[2024-02-08 12:56:57] Jason_Li : 4% price movement isnt a pump i'd say
[2024-02-08 12:57:09] laPanini : in a serious sense though, it was one buyer that bought that extra 0.00001 btc that took it over the border, started a domino effect of stop losses, together with new buyers that causes any bigger move, then we have arbitrage trading between exchanges that makes price move at the same time everywhere.
[2024-02-08 12:57:40] laPanini : This is what liquidity pools in the chart is all about.
[2024-02-08 12:59:58] jjhiijiji : laPanini: thats part of the move all the factors u described, triggering domino liqs and arbitrage. the buys that take it over the edge though are not usually 0.00001
[2024-02-08 13:00:08] jjhiijiji : whetrher its buying or selling
[2024-02-08 13:00:23] jjhiijiji : it usually takes crazy volume whioch usually just pops up instantly within a minute or a few minutes
[2024-02-08 13:00:33] laPanini : my point being, it was just that one order, no matter the size that took it over the edge. Waterfall started.
[2024-02-08 13:00:42] jjhiijiji : or market makers shift the range they are buying at so a rug is pulled on one side or the other
[2024-02-08 13:00:45] Joeyy132 : Rekt plebs like jjhiijiji think instituTions trade like us
[2024-02-08 13:00:58] Joeyy132 : they don’t know anything about dark pools
[2024-02-08 13:00:58] laPanini : bots waiting for certain levels, jumps in and buys the break. voila.
[2024-02-08 13:00:59] Joeyy132 : plebs
[2024-02-08 13:01:06] Joeyy132 : dark pools
[2024-02-08 13:01:17] Joeyy132 : retail rule bitmex
[2024-02-08 13:01:29] jjhiijiji : but bitmex ddoesnt rule the market
[2024-02-08 13:01:36] laPanini : This is also known as the "bart pattern".
[2024-02-08 13:01:50] jjhiijiji : still insisting that retail running the show... sigh
[2024-02-08 13:02:15] jjhiijiji : that definitely explains volume coming in in 1 minute while it was low the previous minute, while still within the same range
[2024-02-08 13:02:20] jjhiijiji : *sacasm*
[2024-02-08 13:02:49] laPanini : it is not so far fetched, retail believed it would break up, they bought, took it over the edge, voila. Could be it, could not be it. We will never know. What we know is that it was taken over the edge, buy bots got triggered, stop losses got triggered, voila here we are.
[2024-02-08 13:02:52] jjhiijiji : laPanini: what ur saying happens when bots trigger when weve come outside a given range
[2024-02-08 13:03:09] laPanini : Im saying, its a combination of everything.
[2024-02-08 13:03:19] jjhiijiji : of course its a combiunartion of all these absolutely correct
[2024-02-08 13:03:42] jjhiijiji : to a lower extent retail definitely contributes to this in some ways
[2024-02-08 13:04:03] laPanini : Point being, all that was needed was that one order to bring it over the edge. That order could have been placed by a retail. :) We never know!
[2024-02-08 13:04:10] jjhiijiji : but just like with the stock market, retail contribution to this whole formula isnt what will dictate the price move
[2024-02-08 13:05:32] jjhiijiji : market makers set ranges which our small fish trades trade within like with even forex.
[2024-02-08 13:05:55] jjhiijiji : there is no 0.0001 btc buyer that will break these ranges unless there was a massive coordinated reatil buy like with GME
[2024-02-08 13:06:04] laPanini : I just keep an open mind.
[2024-02-08 13:06:26] Jason_Li : you are all correct
[2024-02-08 13:06:26] jjhiijiji : every day normal organic retail buying will not have an affect on market makers range or be able to break a wall of a fund trying to buy or sell at a certain price
[2024-02-08 13:06:35] laPanini : You now look to blindly on that number of 0.0001 .. could have been any random number.
[2024-02-08 13:07:18] laPanini : could have been anything between 1000.0000000 and 0.00000001 .. just enough to bring it over the edge and put everything in motion
[2024-02-08 13:07:45] laPanini : Thats all it takes.
[2024-02-08 13:07:54] jjhiijiji : maybe a coordinated retail action or huge global fomo has been incited or panic sell due to an unforseen event like covid or war, would result in so much retail serlling all at once to push outside the range and trigger the cascade of bots etc
[2024-02-08 13:08:00] laPanini : stop loss domino takes care of the rest.
[2024-02-08 13:08:17] jjhiijiji : in 99% of the cases, biutcoin moves happen with volume coming in within a minute or two
[2024-02-08 13:08:20] Jason_Li : yo the 、difference is just stocks and flows
[2024-02-08 13:08:22] jjhiijiji : which THEN trighgers what ur saying, the domino effect
[2024-02-08 13:08:40] jjhiijiji : that volume coming in within that 1 or 2 minutes, is 100% not retail coordinated buys
[2024-02-08 13:08:41] jjhiijiji : or sells
[2024-02-08 13:08:44] laPanini : it is the domino effect that brings the volume.
[2024-02-08 13:09:06] jjhiijiji : no, the domino effect is just part of the volume due the cascade, after the initial volume either pumps or dumps outside the range
[2024-02-08 13:09:36] jjhiijiji : there is always volume first , almost every single time, which breaks us outside of a range and triggers the cascade
[2024-02-08 13:09:51] laPanini : I won't have a never ending discussion about this though. If you don't see it the same way, there is nothing I can do to change your mind.
[2024-02-08 13:10:27] laPanini : There are more fun things to talk about.
[2024-02-08 13:10:34] jjhiijiji : its only a never ending discussion if you fail to address things like how volume comes in within 1 or two minutes , while the organic buying and sleling of the retail during the day was nowhere near that
[2024-02-08 13:11:09] laPanini : I didnt fail, you didnt understand my view.
[2024-02-08 13:11:40] jjhiijiji : ofcourse i understood your view. you are saying that there is just a poi9nt where a buyer, retail or otherwise, fills the ortderbook to reach a certain price which triggers the bots which then tirggers liquidations etc
[2024-02-08 13:11:46] jjhiijiji : and causes the domino effect
[2024-02-08 13:12:04] Simio_BTC : so usdt withdraw is faster than btc? does it have fees? are they higher? or lower? @laPanini
[2024-02-08 13:12:21] jjhiijiji : that amount could have been a small to bigger amount, doesnt matter as you said could have been 10 btc or 0.00001 btc.
[2024-02-08 13:12:27] laPanini : Simio_BTC: I could not answer the difference there, i only ever withdraw btc.
[2024-02-08 13:14:19] Simio_BTC : BitMEX_Hans: can you answer that? usdt transfer (withdraw) is faster thant btc? has higher or lower fees?
[2024-02-08 13:14:27] jjhiijiji : just to be clear, im not saying ur view is wrong, im saying it doesnt take into account at all the drastic volume that comes in BEFORE that moment happens when it reaches cascade point, which happens for almost every single big move
[2024-02-08 13:16:35] jjhiijiji : as far as stock indexes and forex go, retail constitutes way too low a fraction of trading for it to be able to even move the market in any meaningfull way. the bigger bitcoin gets market cap wise the more similar to that it gets. at that points its simply numbers and doesnt come down to 'opinion'
[2024-02-08 13:18:19] jjhiijiji : here is an example
[2024-02-08 13:18:42] jjhiijiji : "https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/06/institutionalinvestor.asp" - Institutional investors account for about 80% of the volume of trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
[2024-02-08 13:20:14] jjhiijiji : if we set opinions aside and just look at the numbers game, intsitutional investors of the entire NYSE are 80% institutional. institutioanl investors will buy and sell according to central bank policy and other factors, which move the entire stock market in ways that retail cannot. retail just plays within those moves (with most retail actually losing money statistically)
[2024-02-08 13:20:16] bluemaster : jjhiijiji: they have to hit hard with big volume because exchanges front running every real order .Limit orders are for wankers
[2024-02-08 13:20:42] MrBritcoin : https://youtube.com/shorts/En_Lcr02b5Q?si=G_6T3qrnAA4fnEEK
[2024-02-08 13:21:31] jjhiijiji : before institutions entered bitcoin, retail and darkweb transactions were majority of bitcoin activity, at that point you could argue retail speculators were in charge of the price.
[2024-02-08 13:21:40] jjhiijiji : once institutions entered bitcoin, that was game over.
[2024-02-08 13:22:11] jjhiijiji : big price moves will be , same as stock market and forex, orchestrated by small groups of people and can go against retail sentiment often
[2024-02-08 13:22:56] jjhiijiji : anyone who observes 1 minute charts can clearly see that, as it usually takes vast amount sof volume to reach the trigger point La Panini is talking about, and that volume is often off the charts when compared to the average trading of the day due to retail.
[2024-02-08 13:24:00] jjhiijiji : some people call it 'bog', i like to call those big players 'bog' collectively. they usually make the moves happen with huge volume, and retails are the ones who usually lost most money because they end up being exit and entry liquidity
[2024-02-08 13:24:56] jjhiijiji : if fed announces we are raising rates massively and all these ibnstitutions have to rebalance portfolios. that will move the market. if Joey and his buddies decide 'hey lets buy some biutcoin' that will NOT move the market.
[2024-02-08 13:26:01] bluemaster : Funny Bakkt running out of cash week after ETF approved , looks like shorting futures does;t work anymore https://cointelegraph.com/news/bakkt-once-touted-bitcoin-savior-going-concern
[2024-02-08 13:26:12] jjhiijiji : bluemaster: exactly. 'they' hit hard with volume as you said.
[2024-02-08 13:26:22] jjhiijiji : its not 'us' , retail just hitting hard with the volume all in 1 single minute
[2024-02-08 13:28:55] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : i´m going to add something intellectual to the conversation
[2024-02-08 13:29:01] Crypto_Cowboy_1982 : When puuuuump?!

[2024-02-08 13:41:44] jjhiijiji : bog is real
[2024-02-08 13:41:55] jjhiijiji : quantum immortality isnt though so be careful
[2024-02-08 13:42:05] MoonLightDumpkin : I don't see any correction here
[2024-02-08 13:42:11] MoonLightDumpkin : btc pump only
[2024-02-08 13:42:19] jjhiijiji : le pamp
[2024-02-08 13:42:50] Dario2 : jjhiijiji: Institutional volume is of course substantially higher than retail volume but not every day. There are times that the combined uncoordinated retail force surprises even the institutional traders.
[2024-02-08 13:43:15] jjhiijiji : Dario2: yes ofcourse, we had GME and we have global mass fomo days
[2024-02-08 13:43:24] jjhiijiji : on rare occasions retail can surprise them
[2024-02-08 13:43:26] Dario2 : So I would not underestimate retail. Some times even a single retail trader with a 10 mil order can cause a butterfly effect and change the outcome, according to the Chaos theory.
[2024-02-08 13:43:57] Dario2 : jjhiijiji: true
[2024-02-08 13:44:06] Dario2 : Here is a quote from wiki: The butterfly effect, an underlying principle of chaos, describes how a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state (meaning that there is sensitive dependence on initial conditions).
[2024-02-08 13:44:25] Dario2 : The applications of Chaos theory and Game theory in financial markets is very fascinating…
[2024-02-08 13:44:59] jjhiijiji : this will happen sometimes when retail coordinataes or fomos all at once
[2024-02-08 13:45:02] jjhiijiji : this is on rare occasions
[2024-02-08 13:45:14] jjhiijiji : majority of cases the moves are not retail however
[2024-02-08 13:45:42] Dario2 : agree on that
