This is a mirror of the original BitMEX trollbox archive that used to be online here.
BitMEX disabled their archive after the DDOS attack so I have decided to make my mirror publicly available.

Well now, a few days after I made this mirror available to the public, the original archive from BitMEX is online again.
But since it is still limited (neutered to the last few hundred messages) I will keep my FULL mirror alive.

You have access to more than 50 million trollbox posts. This is more than 7 gigabyte of data hosted on a $5 server so please be patient or consider a donation

[2015-11-11 21:09:39] toptrader : i think we breaking out up this time, DANV posted a bullish chart too
[2015-11-11 21:10:10] Swedishnut : yeah it is likely to settle at the Premium People's Price if folks are feelin "positive" or it will stab down to 297.81 and press up 300. That is my guts news for now
[2015-11-11 21:12:35] TschavaTschigger : trading volume on okcoin is 10x higher than on finex.. thats so crazy
[2015-11-11 21:13:12] toptrader : yeah watching okcoin
[2015-11-11 21:13:14] TschavaTschigger : and finex is x1 in usd
[2015-11-11 21:13:19] TschavaTschigger : #1*
[2015-11-11 21:16:02] toptrader : finx 313$
[2015-11-11 21:17:23] Swedishnut : BTC chart looks like a powerful wave up spike down retreat bringing with it new eyes, minds, money... etc... Moon in orbit keeps pulling the surge forward toward eventually eroding the known financial network and forging the final "Noah's rocket"
[2015-11-11 21:18:05] micmix : BitMEX_Sam: no, still shows the unresponsive script warning in https://www.bitmex.com/commons…c8580cfe39811ecda1875545bc0.js:9
[2015-11-11 21:18:44] TschavaTschigger : Swedishnut: what are u smoking?

[2015-11-11 21:20:28] micmix : BitMEX_Sam: BTW, how about batch order placement in the API? Shouldn't require any engine changes and would reduce the number of API calls by a factor of 2 at least
[2015-11-11 21:22:36] habibi : that was unpredictable :p
[2015-11-11 21:24:29] floopfloop : habibi: ?
[2015-11-11 21:24:34] Swedishnut : Someone else is also finding a good supply of Hopium it apears
[2015-11-11 21:24:38] habibi : nvm
[2015-11-11 21:26:58] toptrader : nice fakout

[2015-11-11 21:28:16] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Swedishnut: Hahaha
[2015-11-11 21:28:22] Swedishnut : or someone with one of those fiat printers to start kicking in 696 million a day
[2015-11-11 21:28:56] floopfloop : Swedishnut: i got mine from Bitmain
[2015-11-11 21:28:58] TschavaTschigger : finex does nothing but following okcoin... reminds me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kwiWut7Azw
[2015-11-11 21:31:18] Swedishnut : Yeah I like Bitmain myself. have a S4 at the home :) Also own a few of the PacMic 3-4 contracts and a few hundred of each Hash Power. They are great and everything apears easy to read and understand how the value is being grown
[2015-11-11 21:31:59] floopfloop : Swedishnut: i got S1s and s3s
[2015-11-11 21:32:03] floopfloop : s1s arent on right now
[2015-11-11 21:32:14] floopfloop : want to lower voltage tho
[2015-11-11 21:32:19] floopfloop : get a 1.2 w/gh
[2015-11-11 21:32:52] Swedishnut : Yeah I would love to buy some of the S7 if I can gather enough profit over the course of "soon"
[2015-11-11 21:33:10] floopfloop : Swedishnut: they are sold out

[2015-11-11 21:33:56] floopfloop : also no chance of making back BTC
[2015-11-11 21:34:04] floopfloop : 1 btc in first month
[2015-11-11 21:34:05] Swedishnut : yep :P but at least you are paid for their run time
[2015-11-11 21:34:11] floopfloop : LOL
[2015-11-11 21:34:28] floopfloop : Swedishnut: im getting out of mining, just using what I got for now
[2015-11-11 21:34:33] floopfloop : trading is the place to be right now
[2015-11-11 21:35:03] floopfloop : maybe mining and trading, but meh. You lucky to break even on mining. Might profit talking in USD terms, but risky with electricity cost
[2015-11-11 21:35:19] floopfloop : only way to mine is with hydro or solar power in massive quanitites
[2015-11-11 21:35:28] Swedishnut : yes I agree big money is in the trades but I believe we as a community still need a handful more of scattered and reliable solo miners
[2015-11-11 21:35:43] floopfloop : Swedishnut: thats why i do it
[2015-11-11 21:36:01] floopfloop : Swedishnut: I only got about 1TH rright now

[2015-11-11 21:37:58] cataquil : Swedishnut: I have a PacMic 4, but my PacMac 3 is paid up and they didn't let me rebuy
[2015-11-11 21:38:41] Swedishnut : yeah I've simply bought with what was in my wallet or I've simply sent the profit back to my Trezor
[2015-11-11 21:39:13] Swedishnut : depends on how I've felt that day or if I think I stand a chance of predicting a bit
[2015-11-11 21:39:15] cataquil : there are no more PacMic 3 so the rebuy didn't work when the contract was paid back
[2015-11-11 21:39:59] cataquil : the Rate was better on PACMiC3 0.8 versus 0.45 for v4
[2015-11-11 21:40:32] cataquil : plus they were 0.66 BTC for 1THs verus 1BTC for v4
[2015-11-11 21:42:49] Swedishnut : yes I have 1/4 of 4 than what I had placed in 3
[2015-11-11 21:43:48] Swedishnut : I think right now grabbing alts at low prices, investing shares of companies and creating multiple streams of dividends is the way to go for future hassle free living
[2015-11-11 21:44:52] floopfloop : >2000 CNY
[2015-11-11 21:45:10] Swedishnut : like 5 btc spread properly into stuff like MMNXT, Liquid, SuperNet, Atomic, etc..... Spells of Genesis cards etc....

[2015-11-11 21:47:28] cataquil : I looked at some but not sure if I can trust them
[2015-11-11 21:48:09] Swedishnut : I like Polo the most, XCP is great to know how to use. There are lots of great chrome extensions for XCP and Phone Apps.
[2015-11-11 21:49:03] Swedishnut : Get the Shapeshift Card for Spells of Genesis and put it in a Counter Party Wallet. Then thank me later in 2 years :P
[2015-11-11 21:51:35] cataquil : I was looking at https://cryptostocks.com
[2015-11-11 21:52:39] habibi : that movment first down without buy support then up without sell support, looked to me like testing the way by bigger fishes but who knows
[2015-11-11 21:54:03] TschavaTschigger : floopfloop: you said "mining is not worth it" because you can barely break even?
[2015-11-11 21:55:16] kendang : cataquil: looks interest
[2015-11-11 21:55:23] TschavaTschigger : floopfloop: i found a reddit post from 2011 where someone was complaining the "the good old mining days" are over and one can barely break even now (coins we like 1$ then)
[2015-11-11 21:55:34] TschavaTschigger : were*
[2015-11-11 21:55:53] jung1 : cataquil: 4btc volume on cryptostock
[2015-11-11 21:56:22] jung1 : I think that in '16 that kind of stock will be trade on gemini
[2015-11-11 21:56:39] jung1 : twins said that gemini is digital assets exchange
[2015-11-11 21:57:01] kendang : gemini was secondmarket, right?
[2015-11-11 21:57:09] sleger : wrong
[2015-11-11 21:57:58] cataquil : well that is why I was asking SwedishNut about exchanges
[2015-11-11 21:58:27] habibi : gemini- facebook brothers, says they own 1% of btc
[2015-11-11 21:59:54] jung1 : and gemini could grow really fast because they can be in two places in the same time and noboty notice
[2015-11-11 22:00:39] cataquil : well now that I found out about bitcrystals I find out The Token Sale is Over

[2015-11-11 22:29:13] Swedishnut : Ohh I'm loud sometimes my roomates think I'm kinda nutz. They have regular jobs I hang out and trade
[2015-11-11 22:29:23] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Swedishnut: lol
[2015-11-11 22:29:26] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Do you trade for a living?
[2015-11-11 22:29:40] cekseh : Do they ever ask why you spontaneously start crying once in a while?
[2015-11-11 22:29:49] Swedishnut : not just trade but I'm a handy man and do landscaping
[2015-11-11 22:29:59] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Swedishnut: Sounds like the life
[2015-11-11 22:30:50] Swedishnut : I cry sometimes but it is due to my 2 year girlfriend who is now my ex but lives with me never understood my passion for Bitcoin and left me for a gear head mechanic

[2015-11-11 22:32:28] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: Eyyyy high five
[2015-11-11 22:33:15] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : This is definitely not a room fool of adults :p
[2015-11-11 22:33:21] Swedishnut : floopfloop: :P Oh She never complained about my wrench. Just how something she could not see could really be money. And she used to work for the US gov too and had some coding expertise to boot.
[2015-11-11 22:33:23] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : *room full
[2015-11-11 22:34:07] Swedishnut : zanza: :P I'de like to meet anyone first before I head to Hawaii but I'm definitely single :P

[2015-11-11 22:36:37] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Damn. That is what you call a strong bounce Finex. I'm thoroughly impressed
[2015-11-11 22:36:58] podizzler3000 : wowowow
[2015-11-11 22:37:02] podizzler3000 : stamp buyers goin nuts
[2015-11-11 22:37:06] Swedishnut : I simply wanted a partner who understood me and who I could be critical with. We had that for a long time but she just couldn't see magic internet money being worth a darn. She banned me from mentioning anything to do with it. Couldn't talk about it to anyone in my own home...
[2015-11-11 22:37:10] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : If only it was a $70 bounce instead of $7
[2015-11-11 22:37:49] floopfloop : Swedishnut: thats how my parents were when it was at $5
[2015-11-11 22:37:49] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Swedishnut: Wow. I hate to say it but it sounds like you may have dodged a bullet
[2015-11-11 22:38:11] floopfloop : Swedishnut: now they dont tell me to do anything or tell me not to do anything
[2015-11-11 22:38:24] floopfloop : Swedishnut: if they had listened I would have made them retire early
[2015-11-11 22:38:25] podizzler3000 : swedishnut you should have kept that secret
[2015-11-11 22:38:27] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: That's so awesome that you got into bitcoin early. I could have but never got involved in it when I first heard about it. Waited until the November 2013 bubble of course
[2015-11-11 22:38:44] Swedishnut : Yeah I may have but the poor bloke she left me for is squaring up to take it to the cranium. already saying I love you and we have only been broke up since June
[2015-11-11 22:38:45] floopfloop : IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb: yeah 2011 here. Sold or gambled most of it away tho
[2015-11-11 22:38:46] podizzler3000 : bitcoin does not impress the ladies
[2015-11-11 22:39:05] floopfloop : IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb: lost out on my first mil. Hopefully that gives me the wisdom to make the 2nd mil
[2015-11-11 22:39:06] podizzler3000 : i remember in 2009/2010 running the wallet
[2015-11-11 22:39:16] podizzler3000 : trying to buy, thinking it was too difficult and closing it
[2015-11-11 22:39:19] podizzler3000 : doh
[2015-11-11 22:39:23] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: That's tough. Can't worry about what could have been though
[2015-11-11 22:39:30] floopfloop : IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb: Bitmex_Sam actually introduced my to Bitcoin
[2015-11-11 22:39:35] floopfloop : me
[2015-11-11 22:39:42] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : podizzler3000: Yeah I think I may have run the wallet early on and decided it was downloading too slow :p
[2015-11-11 22:39:58] podizzler3000 : haha i was pissed you had to sign up on some random japanese site to buy
[2015-11-11 22:39:58] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: Oh nice
[2015-11-11 22:40:08] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : podizzler3000: Hahaha. If only we had known
[2015-11-11 22:40:10] floopfloop : podizzler3000: not much different then porn?
[2015-11-11 22:40:19] floopfloop : dont hear you complaining about that
[2015-11-11 22:40:23] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: You buy porn?!
[2015-11-11 22:40:44] floopfloop : IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb: no lol
[2015-11-11 22:40:51] floopfloop : 1800flowers.com
[2015-11-11 22:41:00] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: lol that's the place
[2015-11-11 22:41:59] floopfloop : ttyl all, just hopped on because i got price alert for 300, then i missed the fcking boat
[2015-11-11 22:42:07] podizzler3000 : lata
[2015-11-11 22:42:13] podizzler3000 : the markets very confused right now
[2015-11-11 22:42:16] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: Oh ok. Later floop^2
[2015-11-11 22:42:17] podizzler3000 : bitstamp shenanigans are back
[2015-11-11 22:42:27] podizzler3000 : i suspect cumberland trading
[2015-11-11 22:43:31] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : podizzler3000: I think they're on Finex. Don't remember where I read that but there was blockchain evidence
[2015-11-11 22:43:34] Swedishnut : They are traversing the Cumberland Gap?
[2015-11-11 22:44:35] podizzler3000 : well someone dumped a few 1000 yesterday and today on stamp
[2015-11-11 22:44:40] podizzler3000 : right into the bids
[2015-11-11 22:44:45] podizzler3000 : then finex responded
[2015-11-11 22:45:16] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : podizzler3000: Oh and you think they are auction coins? I think this has reached the point where exhausted, manic traders are just mashing buttons praying it works
[2015-11-11 22:45:35] micmix : BitMEX_Sam: Any way to hide the chart on the advanced layout? I never use it and it slows down the browser.
[2015-11-11 22:45:41] podizzler3000 : seems like what someone would do who bought the coins at a significantly cheaper rate
[2015-11-11 22:45:59] podizzler3000 : eithe rthat or a large mining group
[2015-11-11 22:46:13] podizzler3000 : but what mining group is making 1000+ coins a day
[2015-11-11 22:47:44] sleger : micmix: 13 bot makes $$?
[2015-11-11 22:48:13] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : podizzler3000: It doesn't seem to me like the work of professional traders (as you'd expect from cumberland mining) to dump like that. They would be very methodical about selling without moving the market I'd imagine
[2015-11-11 22:48:57] micmix : sleger: yesterday it made -0.0007 XBT :-)
[2015-11-11 22:49:33] micmix : sleger: it's just an integration test
[2015-11-11 22:49:41] sleger : excellent
[2015-11-11 22:50:58] micmix : sleger: it's fast though, quotes at the top when it wants even running from my dev PC
[2015-11-11 22:52:10] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: Do you have any insight on the variables in the position table? I can figure out for sure what about 5-10 of them are and the rest I have no idea
[2015-11-11 22:52:46] micmix : I know some of them but not all, what exactly do you need?
[2015-11-11 22:53:25] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: I'd like to figure out what fees have been paid on an open position
[2015-11-11 22:53:47] BitMEX_Arthur : https://www.bitmex.com/app/tradeHistory
[2015-11-11 22:53:47] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : So basically what the fee was to open it, if it was opened into the book
[2015-11-11 22:53:58] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : BitMEX_Arthur: API, but thanks :)
[2015-11-11 22:54:30] micmix : I'm using currentComm but it's better to ask Wally
[2015-11-11 22:55:17] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: Ok thanks. I think posComm may be what I want but I'm not sure
[2015-11-11 22:55:28] micmix : If you are opening position using limit orders that hit the book your commission should be 0
[2015-11-11 22:55:53] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: Is currentComm a total for your account or just for that contract until it expires?
[2015-11-11 22:56:42] micmix : AFAIK currentComm in the position table is total for the contract until it expires
[2015-11-11 22:57:06] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: Cool, thanks :)
[2015-11-11 22:57:53] j8 : i added up my lifetime fees to bitmex the other day. it was 9 btc. your welcome :
[2015-11-11 22:58:19] micmix : j8: nice, you have to request a discount :-)
[2015-11-11 22:58:43] j8 : yeah or be my own referral at least e
[2015-11-11 22:59:07] micmix : yep, if it's not against the rules
[2015-11-11 22:59:17] j8 : i was planning on running market making for the fee discounts but got busy
[2015-11-11 22:59:55] j8 : i think most of that is from before when the fees were higher though.
[2015-11-11 23:00:18] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: There's a discount for being a market maker?
[2015-11-11 23:00:47] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Well, other than the bot paying 0 fees for limit orders
[2015-11-11 23:00:51] j8 : yes they do offer discounts
[2015-11-11 23:01:07] micmix : yeah, you had to pay quite a bit when BitMEX had trader/hedger fee and insurance
[2015-11-11 23:04:56] floopfloop : omfg
[2015-11-11 23:05:14] floopfloop : i think i just click my "are you sure checkbox" again on accident

[2015-11-11 23:05:45] floopfloop : and I hate making him do that over and over
[2015-11-11 23:06:00] floopfloop : he is working on putting it as an option in the my account tab, but it isnt implemented yet
[2015-11-11 23:06:33] floopfloop : oh looks like i didnt do it this time though
[2015-11-11 23:06:39] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: Ok cool
[2015-11-11 23:06:46] floopfloop : just getting a weird error when trying to put in a trade in march
[2015-11-11 23:07:00] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : micmix: Do you know what breakEvenPrice is, as in how it's calculated?
[2015-11-11 23:07:27] floopfloop : IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb: its the price that will breakEven a horses back
[2015-11-11 23:07:37] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : floopfloop: :p
[2015-11-11 23:08:28] micmix : no, don't have a formula but it's the price when you'll have 0 P&L if you close, taking into account commisio
[2015-11-11 23:08:46] micmix : * comissions
[2015-11-11 23:12:28] amirmass : how u doin @IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb

[2015-11-11 23:13:33] amirmass : are you guys shorting this down to 0
[2015-11-11 23:14:20] micmix : well the goal of the game is to get more coins, doesn't make sense to short to 0
[2015-11-11 23:17:38] Swedishnut : true but you must play the game of those who believe it is worth zero and are trying to break the machine sometimes.
[2015-11-11 23:18:23] amirmass : the goal of the game is to make money
[2015-11-11 23:18:37] Swedishnut : yes true money though is in the eye of the beholder
[2015-11-11 23:18:51] floopfloop : Swedishnut: especially if shes a stripper

[2015-11-11 23:19:49] floopfloop : life savings are in rubles here
[2015-11-11 23:20:09] floopfloop : better get in now before russia takes over the world
[2015-11-11 23:21:14] Swedishnut : Russia is positioning itself as such but so has China and the USA, Corporations though are the true underdog slime balls though and are power grabbing with stuff like the TPP
[2015-11-11 23:23:15] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : Swedishnut: Yay politics! I agree with you, just a warning though you might piss some people off
[2015-11-11 23:23:50] IChTj4OeMavRq6qeIyEb : I wouldn't say corporations are a bit underdog though haha

[2015-11-12 01:03:48] Swedishnut : does that mean their bottoms are about to be taken by a snake or that they are the two significant bottoms to a large swell?

[2015-11-12 01:13:44] podizzler3000 : best advice is to place an order in the opposite direction for the amount you are trying to get rid of
[2015-11-12 01:13:48] podizzler3000 : that way you get best price
[2015-11-12 01:14:19] babybaby : ah thanx
[2015-11-12 01:14:34] Swedishnut : fair price is what the market will bear aka the buttock takin price
[2015-11-12 01:17:25] Swedishnut : fun thing about fiat is that it is only "money" Bitcoin is money
[2015-11-12 01:17:41] podizzler3000 : its only money! so give it all to me

[2015-11-12 01:25:29] cekseh : Site works perfectly
[2015-11-12 01:26:12] Swedishnut : well it could work for me ") (like if I gave 1% of my balance each day to the woodchipper profits)
[2015-11-12 01:26:28] Swedishnut : increasing the swings of it's motion
[2015-11-12 01:29:14] amirmass : cekseh: im telling u, i was not even into the site, it bought 5000 contracts by itself
[2015-11-12 01:29:39] Swedishnut : anyone else have a Mycelium Entropy NOT tampered with?

[2015-11-12 01:30:01] Swedishnut : Akbar is right
[2015-11-12 01:30:21] BitMEX_Wally : amirmass: I see you submitted 3 sell orders: 1000 @ 317.5 1000 @ 318.21 and 5000 @ 319
[2015-11-12 01:30:37] amirmass : the two 1000 is me
[2015-11-12 01:30:40] amirmass : but the 5000
[2015-11-12 01:30:44] amirmass : i wasnt even in the site
[2015-11-12 01:30:49] amirmass : i was in another site
[2015-11-12 01:30:55] amirmass : how is that possible
[2015-11-12 01:31:07] BitMEX_Wally : That was submitted 01:01:52 UTC (the time now is 01:31:01 UTC)
[2015-11-12 01:31:16] amirmass : and need to mention i got margin called because of that
[2015-11-12 01:31:59] amirmass : BitMEX_Wally: so
[2015-11-12 01:32:03] amirmass : how is that possible
[2015-11-12 01:32:05] amirmass : !!
[2015-11-12 01:32:21] BitMEX_Wally : If you did not submit that order (which came from your IP address). Then would you like me to disable your account?
[2015-11-12 01:32:28] Swedishnut : from his end he sees your "actions" he cannot verify your "story"
[2015-11-12 01:33:02] amirmass : BitMEX_Wally: not now, i still have some orders open i need to care of
[2015-11-12 01:33:23] amirmass : let me talk to you later so we can find a solution for that
[2015-11-12 01:33:27] Swedishnut : so arimass you don't think your account could be comprimised?
[2015-11-12 01:33:43] amirmass : u mean hacked? dont think so
[2015-11-12 01:34:18] Swedishnut : maybe another able to create an action on top and thus created the margin call since they were monitoring you
[2015-11-12 01:34:51] Swedishnut : I'm mega paranoid quite often so just looking out for you have no clue if it at all close to truth
[2015-11-12 01:35:14] SnackyCoins : maybe he's running windows 10 and microsoft placed the order on his behalf remotely
[2015-11-12 01:35:32] messiaen8844 : i heard they like bitcoin
[2015-11-12 01:35:36] messiaen8844 : ;D
[2015-11-12 01:35:37] Swedishnut : lol on behalf of Etherium I here by burn your Bitcoin...
[2015-11-12 01:35:55] SnackyCoins : or maybe like someone turned on a microwave and the dirty voltage on the line generated the encrypted https packets that called the order api
[2015-11-12 01:35:57] messiaen8844 : it's all blockchain shares
[2015-11-12 01:36:11] BitMEX_Wally : `109.160.***.*** (Chrome 46, Windows) - "POST /api/v1/order {"symbol":"XBT24H","quantity":-5000,"price":319,"type":"Limit"}" 200 591b - 77.070 ms`
[2015-11-12 01:36:45] BitMEX_Wally : That was `Nov 12 09:01:52 HKT`
[2015-11-12 01:37:01] podizzler3k : did amirmass get his mistaken order straightened out?
[2015-11-12 01:37:03] messiaen8844 : in case of doubt, blame bitcoin XT
[2015-11-12 01:37:26] BitMEX_Wally : amirmass: If you did not submit that order then your PC is compromised
[2015-11-12 01:37:46] Swedishnut : does it tell you wally if the IP changed when the order was placed or anything like that?
[2015-11-12 01:37:50] amirmass : BitMEX_Wally: what do u mean by compromised?
[2015-11-12 01:38:01] SnackyCoins : you've been haxd
[2015-11-12 01:38:03] BitMEX_Wally : His IP has not changed
[2015-11-12 01:38:10] Swedishnut : err true it could still have been fronted by the host's true IP
[2015-11-12 01:38:22] SnackyCoins : they have root on your machine and they are using it to place bad trades
[2015-11-12 01:38:26] SnackyCoins : classic
[2015-11-12 01:38:30] Swedishnut : hmm kk well thats all the deduction this amature has :P
[2015-11-12 01:38:46] ethexio : Or he's not telling full truth..
[2015-11-12 01:39:02] BitMEX_Wally : amirmass: Please email support@bitmex.com so we can discuss privately
[2015-11-12 01:39:25] Swedishnut : I like to give the benefit of the doubt myself but I have been one of the most used people my family know.
[2015-11-12 01:39:26] amirmass : BitMEX_Wally: ok, i will
[2015-11-12 01:40:35] messiaen8844 : anyone selling bots here? or any indications where I can find something?
[2015-11-12 01:41:12] Swedishnut : I heard Will Smith has some
[2015-11-12 01:41:33] messiaen8844 : AI?
[2015-11-12 01:41:36] messiaen8844 : .)
[2015-11-12 01:41:53] j8 : messiaen8844: there are several open source ones if you have a little bit of technical ability
[2015-11-12 01:42:31] j8 : i don't have any experience with paid bots,
[2015-11-12 01:42:47] messiaen8844 : I know a reasonable bit of programming, but not enough pacience to learn the APIs and test extensively.
[2015-11-12 01:43:08] j8 : generally they're selling the framework to make your strategies though, don't get sucked into buying
[2015-11-12 01:43:30] j8 : into buying algo's... it keeps cutting me off
[2015-11-12 01:44:16] messiaen8844 : algo is something I want to study, for regular stock trading, I think I don't have the discipline to do it well
[2015-11-12 01:44:17] j8 : well for bitmex there's https://github.com/BitMEX/market-maker
[2015-11-12 01:44:35] messiaen8844 : I get excellent results for 3 days then I get too emotional and just fuck up
[2015-11-12 01:44:45] j8 : which does all the api stuff for you. you could start with that and put your strategies in.
[2015-11-12 01:44:53] Swedishnut : I live in Minnesota. I know how to set up a computer. I'm among the 10%...
[2015-11-12 01:45:18] Swedishnut : I need to move... somewhere I can learn your names
[2015-11-12 01:45:19] messiaen8844 : thansk j8! never tried python, but will take a look
[2015-11-12 01:46:01] laisee : messi> it's nice, simple algo code that handles basics ok.
[2015-11-12 01:46:35] j8 : i actually learned a lot of python quickly from playing around with a few different open source bots including that one.
[2015-11-12 01:47:10] messiaen8844 : i'm more a C, java, C# guy ;)
[2015-11-12 01:47:45] laisee : python is quite easy to learn, once you get used to the TABS .
[2015-11-12 01:48:33] messiaen8844 : yeah, I find bizarre that those extra spaces will result in failure AFAIR
[2015-11-12 01:49:06] messiaen8844 : if that's what you mean
[2015-11-12 01:51:49] j8 : takes some getting used to. i used to do a lot of c++, nowadays i get results in python with half the time spent programming
[2015-11-12 01:52:48] j8 : i used to want to write really efficient programs, before i realized that my programming was the actual bottleneck
[2015-11-12 01:52:58] zanza : i just reazlied quanto futures are complucated as fk
[2015-11-12 01:53:33] laisee : yes, TABS define code layout in Python. Make sure you choose good editor or get frustrated.
[2015-11-12 01:54:40] j8 : it's spaces, not tab characters though right.
[2015-11-12 01:55:12] laisee : j8> yes. I keep thinking of X spaces == 1 TAB.
[2015-11-12 01:55:45] j8 : unfortunately some editors disagree. i struggled with that when i started python
[2015-11-12 01:57:02] laisee : j8> trying out erlang now, it's got some cool features.
[2015-11-12 01:57:31] j8 : oh yeah, i've heard, never tried it
[2015-11-12 01:57:53] messiaen8844 : down we go
[2015-11-12 01:58:08] messiaen8844 : bitcoin likes brainfuck
[2015-11-12 01:58:21] messiaen8844 : lol, name of programming language is censored
[2015-11-12 01:58:25] messiaen8844 : brianf+uck

[2015-11-12 02:01:23] podizzler3k : gently caress my brain
[2015-11-12 02:01:42] sleger : what language is censored ?
[2015-11-12 02:02:41] BitMEX_Wally : sleger: The word f*ck is censored
[2015-11-12 02:03:04] BitMEX_Wally : There is a programming language called Brainf*ck
[2015-11-12 02:03:12] laisee : brainf**k is a f**k'n good language.
[2015-11-12 02:04:07] BitMEX_Wally : `+++[->+>+<<]>>[-<<+>>]<<`
[2015-11-12 02:04:32] BitMEX_Wally : That will set a[0] =3 then do a[1] = a[0] using a[2] as a temporary variable
[2015-11-12 02:05:30] podizzler3k : watch your mouth young lady
[2015-11-12 02:05:31] BitMEX_Wally : Or it would if the HTML parser hadn't broken it
[2015-11-12 02:07:03] laisee : beautiful code ... brings tears to my eyes
[2015-11-12 02:10:18] messiaen8844 : check out programming language HOON , it's as bad as brainf*uck
[2015-11-12 02:10:27] messiaen8844 : except it's actually used for a serious project
[2015-11-12 02:11:05] j8 : messiaen8844: that's the urbit thing
[2015-11-12 02:11:14] j8 : rig

[2015-11-12 02:12:02] j8 : i got half way through the whitepaper, it was like an acid trip
[2015-11-12 02:12:02] j8 : i got half way through the whitepaper, it was like an acid trip
[2015-11-12 02:12:25] j8 : glitch in the matrix
[2015-11-12 02:12:36] Swedishnut : The whole Crypto field is full of brain mines
[2015-11-12 02:12:54] amirmass : get ready to short guys
[2015-11-12 02:13:08] amirmass : it's ending diagnol
[2015-11-12 02:13:19] amirmass : in a bull market
[2015-11-12 02:13:22] amirmass : that means down
[2015-11-12 02:13:26] amirmass : to 300 maybe
[2015-11-12 02:13:50] Swedishnut : woodchipper ripping hearts out yet?
[2015-11-12 02:13:51] messiaen8844 : I always do the opposite people say in the chat, including myself lol
[2015-11-12 02:13:52] amirmass : better take profits at 305-306
[2015-11-12 02:14:37] messiaen8844 : but yeah, +/- 320 is a cool resistance
[2015-11-12 02:15:25] Swedishnut : like I said earlier 325 is premium people's price but in the long run a very good buy. short run might see 300 again in a very short while.
[2015-11-12 02:16:11] messiaen8844 : yeah, I'm slowly buying some XBTZ15 each time it falls
[2015-11-12 02:16:58] messiaen8844 : hoping for merry xmas ;)
[2015-11-12 02:17:15] Swedishnut : I think that is pretty safe especially if you margin to 211
[2015-11-12 02:17:52] Swedishnut : If I were handling a 2-3 million usd that is where I would draw my line
[2015-11-12 02:18:20] amirmass : its basic TA
[2015-11-12 02:18:24] amirmass : ending diagnol
[2015-11-12 02:18:26] messiaen8844 : I like progressive entry, 10%, falls a bit 10%, falls more 20%, then at bottom I get 50% of position
[2015-11-12 02:19:39] amirmass : messiaen8844: gj
[2015-11-12 02:20:08] amirmass : could be one more liitle leg up to 326 but dont be chopped up
[2015-11-12 02:20:14] amirmass : its gonna doom hard later
[2015-11-12 02:20:37] amirmass : better place some buys around 305
[2015-11-12 02:20:42] messiaen8844 : not for daily amir, this for position trading
[2015-11-12 02:21:29] Swedishnut : any amount of paper is still worth the trade for crypto :)
[2015-11-12 02:21:36] Swedishnut : unless it is Paycoin
[2015-11-12 02:21:37] floopfloop : Liq. Price : 88890.00 (lol)
[2015-11-12 02:21:46] messiaen8844 : good marling lol
[2015-11-12 02:21:49] messiaen8844 : marging
[2015-11-12 02:22:07] floopfloop : Swedishnut: Paycoin to the MOON!
[2015-11-12 02:22:23] messiaen8844 : wasn't around at the time of paycoin, what was that?
[2015-11-12 02:22:51] floopfloop : messiaen8844: Most successful crypto in history
[2015-11-12 02:23:04] Swedishnut : a scam with "masternodes" that "guarenteed" no one loses money. is the short story.
[2015-11-12 02:23:13] messiaen8844 : I know it was a scam, but what was the promise?
[2015-11-12 02:23:23] Swedishnut : then everyone who didn't own a master node fried
[2015-11-12 02:23:33] Swedishnut : 20$ per coin
[2015-11-12 02:24:29] floopfloop : time to short this out
[2015-11-12 02:24:43] Swedishnut : lets just say if you were good at playing the pump and dump accordian and cashed out to btc before it went below 1$ per coin you were in heaven
[2015-11-12 02:25:39] Swedishnut : back out the chart there is still quite the hill to climb yes shorting the Ice Climbers might be the best option
[2015-11-12 02:25:41] floopfloop : lol, no one is buying on Bitmex or anywhere else
[2015-11-12 02:25:48] messiaen8844 : hmm, like all shitcoins lol
[2015-11-12 02:25:58] laisee : waiting for FEDcoin.
[2015-11-12 02:25:58] Swedishnut : running on Hopium
[2015-11-12 02:26:26] Swedishnut : mmmm london special with a side of secrecy and infinite money supply with no oversight... FEDcoin
[2015-11-12 02:26:39] habibi : who panicked with that 320 order
[2015-11-12 02:26:55] amirmass : u see guys?
[2015-11-12 02:27:09] billyboy402 : yea i just saw that , blew straight throught me 323.50
[2015-11-12 02:28:13] Swedishnut : I would drop some buys in at 303 and beat the chipper
[2015-11-12 02:28:41] laisee : if price is @303, surely it's heading down from there
[2015-11-12 02:29:43] billyboy402 : yea , it ony a pin head , if it get close to 300 what is going to stop it going further
[2015-11-12 02:29:44] amirmass : could be one more leg up to 327-326
[2015-11-12 02:29:47] amirmass : then doom for sure
[2015-11-12 02:29:57] Swedishnut : true if it hits that but the chipper will likely stake your position and taunt others to sell there. You should be able to margin yourself to 215 if your smart and don't buy to much. thus making the chipper move a TON to crush you
[2015-11-12 02:30:58] Swedishnut : be Conservative with your positions and force the bots to create the motion
[2015-11-12 02:31:12] Swedishnut : emotion will bend the rest
[2015-11-12 02:32:39] Swedishnut : think about it this way. if all of us were to drop our positions and wait 30 min before re-entering what would happen?
[2015-11-12 02:33:23] BitMEX_Wally : Swedishnut: The market maker would make a lot of money?
[2015-11-12 02:33:52] BitMEX_Wally : The exchange would make more trading fees
[2015-11-12 02:34:05] Swedishnut : you sir Walley would know much better than I. I guess my thought was the market would adjust due to the loss of leverage
[2015-11-12 02:34:35] BitMEX_Wally : The future is trading pretty close to spot, so there's not much basis to lose
[2015-11-12 02:35:41] BitMEX_Wally : This is a test @group
