This is a mirror of the original BitMEX trollbox archive that used to be online here.
BitMEX disabled their archive after the DDOS attack so I have decided to make my mirror publicly available.

Well now, a few days after I made this mirror available to the public, the original archive from BitMEX is online again.
But since it is still limited (neutered to the last few hundred messages) I will keep my FULL mirror alive.

You have access to more than 50 million trollbox posts. This is more than 7 gigabyte of data hosted on a $5 server so please be patient or consider a donation

[2016-06-27 14:19:54] bhok : mmm
[2016-06-27 14:20:03] bhok : then the hedging strategy have his risks
[2016-06-27 14:20:34] nip : bhok: most people hedging use more than a 5% margin deposit
[2016-06-27 14:21:11] bhok : bigger margin deposit bigger the security your position will not be closeed
[2016-06-27 14:22:39] jung1 : yup
[2016-06-27 14:22:48] RoftheN : I'm bad at math, how much percentage do you need for x15?
[2016-06-27 14:23:02] BitMEX_Wally : 1/15
[2016-06-27 14:23:10] RoftheN : WHICH IS?!
[2016-06-27 14:23:12] BitMEX_Wally : 6.66%
[2016-06-27 14:23:19] RoftheN : Thanks
[2016-06-27 14:23:24] macios15 : lol
[2016-06-27 14:23:30] jung1 : RoftheN: protip: you can use google as calculator
[2016-06-27 14:23:43] jung1 : https://www.google.co.in/#q=1+%2F15
[2016-06-27 14:23:46] RoftheN : Why would I do that if I have a calculator right here
[2016-06-27 14:24:06] nip : yeah pro tip type 1/15=? most places and get the answer
[2016-06-27 14:25:37] RoftheN : So let's say you do not get liquidated all year. And the average USD rate - XBT rate is 0.6%. How much percentage a year and how does DPE influence that?
[2016-06-27 14:26:16] rapidtrades : about three fiddy
[2016-06-27 14:26:22] BitMEX_Wally : 0.6% every 8 hours?
[2016-06-27 14:26:32] BitMEX_Wally : You'd earn 657% in a year on funding
[2016-06-27 14:26:37] bhok : lol
[2016-06-27 14:26:41] RoftheN : Is it every 8 hours? I thought 24 hours
[2016-06-27 14:27:35] boolander : how much fo 1 rib?
[2016-06-27 14:27:57] BitMEX_Wally : Funding is now every 8 hours, but it is the daily rate divided by 3
[2016-06-27 14:28:26] RoftheN : Okay then let's say 0.2% how do you even calculate that. How many 8 hours are in a year?
[2016-06-27 14:28:36] bhok : daily funding rate is usually between 0.05 and 0.012
[2016-06-27 14:28:41] rapidtrades : sp500 flirting with 2k
[2016-06-27 14:28:56] bhok : bro take the daily rate
[2016-06-27 14:28:59] RoftheN : Oh I mean 0.02 then
[2016-06-27 14:29:07] RoftheN : No I'm confused
[2016-06-27 14:29:08] bhok : 0.02*3
[2016-06-27 14:29:17] bhok : 0.06
[2016-06-27 14:29:35] bhok : 0.06*365= 21.9%
[2016-06-27 14:29:39] bhok : yearly
[2016-06-27 14:29:45] RoftheN : What about cumulative thingy
[2016-06-27 14:29:47] RoftheN : Compound
[2016-06-27 14:30:09] rapidtrades : time to buy the Pound? pro/cons?
[2016-06-27 14:30:13] BitMEX_Wally : It varies with the premium index, have a look at the history https://www.bitmex.com/app/fundingHistory
[2016-06-27 14:32:10] bhok : http://www.moneychimp.com/calculator/compound_interest_calculator.htm
[2016-06-27 14:32:18] bhok : it is a compound interest calculator
[2016-06-27 14:32:31] rapidtrades : interest is not compounded tho
[2016-06-27 14:32:44] bhok : https://bfxdata.com/calculators/swaps
[2016-06-27 14:32:46] rapidtrades : u have to sell more
[2016-06-27 14:33:02] RoftheN : Which was the plan
[2016-06-27 14:33:11] rapidtrades : k
[2016-06-27 14:33:25] RoftheN : Math is complicated
[2016-06-27 14:33:31] RoftheN : I should just try it out and take my time
[2016-06-27 14:33:33] BitMEX_Wally : Between 2016.05.14 and 2016.06.27 a short position on XBTUD has earnt 16.67%
[2016-06-27 14:33:35] nip : and if there is dpe you plan to buy some back?
[2016-06-27 14:33:42] nip : dpe can compound too
[2016-06-27 14:33:51] bhok : you should think it would be about a 20 or 30% of rate yeraly
[2016-06-27 14:34:05] bhok : of course if bitmex dont broke or is hacked
[2016-06-27 14:34:26] rapidtrades : also it only takes 2-3 DPEs to lose all that interest
[2016-06-27 14:34:49] RoftheN : How often do DPE's happen and could you lose more than just the intereest?
[2016-06-27 14:34:57] rapidtrades : we had three DPEs of over 20% past month
[2016-06-27 14:35:01] rapidtrades : so do ur math
[2016-06-27 14:35:18] RoftheN : But not all months are as volatile as this
[2016-06-27 14:35:37] rapidtrades : well when months are not volatile rates will be way lower
[2016-06-27 14:35:44] RoftheN : That too
[2016-06-27 14:35:46] nip : BitMEX_Wally: i haven't given feedback on the new contracts in a while. i think they have evolved into a good product. i just wish there was some position size limit so liquidated whales dont generate such huge dpe
[2016-06-27 14:35:55] rapidtrades : if we enter a bear market, shorts will start paying
[2016-06-27 14:36:06] REKT : Liquidated short on `XBJ24H`: Buy 45 @ 64899.0
[2016-06-27 14:36:38] RoftheN : So how does one avoid being a victim of DPE?
[2016-06-27 14:36:38] BitMEX_Wally : nip: There is
[2016-06-27 14:36:41] BitMEX_Wally : nip: It is 500 XBT
[2016-06-27 14:37:48] nip : was that limit there before the dpe? i dont remember having orders rejected for that reason until recently
[2016-06-27 14:39:04] BitMEX_Wally : nip: There have always been risk limits but recently we have started enforcing them
[2016-06-27 14:39:34] BitMEX_Wally : On a case by case basis we raise them, for market makers who manage their risk, etc.
[2016-06-27 14:41:14] BitMEX_Wally : So the largest single liquidation will be $300,000 for now
[2016-06-27 14:41:25] BitMEX_Wally : I am working on a way to let a user increase their maintenance margin requirement in return for higher position limits
[2016-06-27 14:41:58] bhok : wally the system would resist a 50% fall on btc in a couple of hours¿??
[2016-06-27 14:43:42] BitMEX_Wally : If the price halved then the entire open interest would be liquidated
[2016-06-27 14:43:46] bhok : or it would broke
[2016-06-27 14:44:07] BitMEX_Wally : The system would be fine, there would just be a DPE rate :)
[2016-06-27 14:44:12] bhok : but guys with short positions would get his money plus profits?
[2016-06-27 14:44:19] BitMEX_Wally : Yes
[2016-06-27 14:44:32] BitMEX_Wally : They would get money plus profits but their profits would be reduced
[2016-06-27 14:44:37] bhok : thank you it is very interesting
[2016-06-27 14:53:06] bhok : and can i ask why not to have an option form simply lending like bitfinex?
[2016-06-27 14:56:02] Rado : bhok: there is already big leverage
[2016-06-27 14:56:16] Rado : why would you need to borrow on top of that
[2016-06-27 14:56:37] bhok : i am not interested in borrow
[2016-06-27 14:56:40] Rado : with 1 btc you can trade 50 btc
[2016-06-27 14:56:41] bhok : i am interested in lend
[2016-06-27 14:57:05] bhok : but without the closed position risk
[2016-06-27 14:57:05] Rado : then when the Funding rate is positive you can short to collect the rate
[2016-06-27 14:57:20] bhok : yes but being short requires margin
[2016-06-27 14:57:36] Rado : if you want to simply lend you have to do that with Bitfinex
[2016-06-27 14:57:39] subjective : where are the bulls?
[2016-06-27 14:57:50] Rado : subjective: here ;-)
[2016-06-27 14:57:57] bhok : waiting to the weak hands to leave
[2016-06-27 14:58:22] RoftheN : So why would I risk my interest being ruined by DPE if I can just use Bitfinex?
[2016-06-27 14:58:42] BitMEX_Sam : RoftheN: Because the rates are generally higher here and you can lend with margin
[2016-06-27 14:58:45] Rado : RoftheN: leverage
[2016-06-27 14:59:09] bhok : lol lend money that you have not
[2016-06-27 14:59:28] BitMEX_Sam : See https://www.bitmex.com/app/fundingHistory - the daily funding rate can be as high as 1% if the market rips
[2016-06-27 14:59:32] boolander : banks loan money into existence
[2016-06-27 14:59:36] BitMEX_Sam : Of course the risks are different. There is DPE, and you need to keep your position alive
[2016-06-27 14:59:41] BitMEX_Sam : It's risk/reward.
[2016-06-27 14:59:44] rapidtrades : lending with margin is a terrible idea imo
[2016-06-27 14:59:47] RoftheN : So it's worth it to stay here even though the DPE ruins it often?
[2016-06-27 15:00:01] bhok : do we have some historic of DPE?
[2016-06-27 15:00:14] BitMEX_Sam : It doesn't ruin it often, there has been DPE 3 times in the last 6mo
[2016-06-27 15:00:38] rapidtrades : 3 times since the swap
[2016-06-27 15:00:38] BitMEX_Sam : https://www.bitmex.com/app/settlementHistory
[2016-06-27 15:00:38] Rado : I used only 0.3 XBT to make 2 XBT on XBTU16
[2016-06-27 15:00:39] bhok : and when DPE you lost all the interest profits of this day?
[2016-06-27 15:00:46] Rado : you can't do that in a normal exchange
[2016-06-27 15:00:48] BitMEX_Sam : No, funding is not sugject to DPE
[2016-06-27 15:00:53] BitMEX_Sam : subject*
[2016-06-27 15:01:20] bhok : great
[2016-06-27 15:01:25] rapidtrades : what are the longterm rates for lending USD on finex btw
[2016-06-27 15:01:48] bhok : 0.071
[2016-06-27 15:01:52] bhok : daily at this moment
[2016-06-27 15:02:07] Rado : 0.07 per day is great by the way
[2016-06-27 15:02:18] bhok : but usually is between 0.045 and 0.10
[2016-06-27 15:02:33] Rado : 25% annualized
[2016-06-27 15:02:47] RoftheN : I think it's great too. My student loan is like 1% per year. IF I just put it into 0.7% per day then it's free money
[2016-06-27 15:02:50] Rado : stock market gives you 7%
[2016-06-27 15:02:59] rapidtrades : yes but wil ur loans stick? lot of times i rollover my loans for cheaper rates
[2016-06-27 15:02:59] Rado : and you can loose your shirt when it craches
[2016-06-27 15:03:04] bhok : but the problem is
[2016-06-27 15:03:10] rapidtrades : what's the current bid/ask? not logged in atm
[2016-06-27 15:03:13] RoftheN : Can I trust Bitfinex?
[2016-06-27 15:03:17] bhok : Bitfinex is registered in virgin british isalnds
[2016-06-27 15:03:24] RoftheN : I think it's rather trustworthy
[2016-06-27 15:03:25] bhok : and bitmex is in Seycheles
[2016-06-27 15:03:40] rapidtrades : all good places for a vacation :)
[2016-06-27 15:03:46] bhok : if someday the decide to run with the money....
[2016-06-27 15:03:51] Rado : lol rapidtrades
[2016-06-27 15:04:14] Rado : the reason they are registered there is because of shady governments
[2016-06-27 15:04:21] bhok : i know i know
[2016-06-27 15:04:39] bhok : but investors are unprotected in case of bad bahaviour
[2016-06-27 15:04:54] bhok : lol sorry my absollutelly shitty english
[2016-06-27 15:04:58] Rado : you can insure your holdings
[2016-06-27 15:05:01] bhok : behavo¡iour
[2016-06-27 15:05:06] bhok : behaviour
[2016-06-27 15:05:07] RoftheN : I'll just use both. I mean if Bitfinex decides to steal. Then BTC will go down hard and my short here will be awesome
[2016-06-27 15:05:12] Rado : maybe I should start a BTC insurance fund
[2016-06-27 15:05:19] Rado : that will be great business :-)
[2016-06-27 15:05:25] bhok : mmm interesting concept Rado
[2016-06-27 15:05:38] bhok : but how could you get community trust?
[2016-06-27 15:05:51] RoftheN : Tell them you are a blockchain
[2016-06-27 15:05:53] Rado : slowly
[2016-06-27 15:05:59] Rado : there you go
[2016-06-27 15:06:04] Rado : RoftheN: :-)
[2016-06-27 15:06:15] BitMEX_Wally : Both the BVI and Seychelles have a stable legal system with common law
[2016-06-27 15:06:23] Rado : contract on the blockchain will pay them if the event happens
[2016-06-27 15:06:27] bhok : of course they are Wally
[2016-06-27 15:07:17] gustavo7 : ffs the network is slow
[2016-06-27 15:07:52] RoftheN : But wasn't Bitfinex in HongKong or anything?
[2016-06-27 15:08:05] Rado : yes
[2016-06-27 15:08:07] bhok : at beggining yes but they had regulatory problems
[2016-06-27 15:08:26] bhok : and move out quickly to BVI
[2016-06-27 15:09:04] bhok : Wally why the insurance fund have so great volatility
[2016-06-27 15:09:11] Rado : rapidtrades: how is it going man
[2016-06-27 15:12:40] tscha : Rado: the reason they are incorporated there is not shadiness, but tax
[2016-06-27 15:12:50] tscha : 0% corporate tax AFAIK
[2016-06-27 15:13:01] RoftheN : That's not a lot
[2016-06-27 15:13:09] tscha : also 0% income tax for individuals, in case you want to retire somewhere
[2016-06-27 15:13:10] Rado : that's what the shadiness is tscha
[2016-06-27 15:13:34] Rado : you never know how government will destroy your business with tax and regulations
[2016-06-27 15:13:35] bhok : wow nice
[2016-06-27 15:13:52] tscha : Rado: why is that shady? it's just being smart
[2016-06-27 15:13:55] bhok : perfect way to remove states incomes
[2016-06-27 15:14:21] bhok : smart is to think like collective not like egoistic individuals
[2016-06-27 15:14:53] adlai : is there an API call that returns the funding rates for the swaps?
[2016-06-27 15:14:58] Rado : you mean stealing from people is smart?
[2016-06-27 15:14:58] bhok : and i am speaking about collectives not like states or governments
[2016-06-27 15:15:05] Rado : and then using their money for war
[2016-06-27 15:15:13] tscha : Rado: stealing is illegal, optimizing tax isn't
[2016-06-27 15:15:23] Rado : are you one of these sheep that don't see what's going on
[2016-06-27 15:15:28] RoftheN : Why is stealing illegal?
[2016-06-27 15:15:44] bhok : https://www.bitmex.com/api/explorer/#!/Funding/Funding_get
[2016-06-27 15:15:47] Rado : tax = stealing
[2016-06-27 15:15:54] jung1 : what a bullshit
[2016-06-27 15:16:06] jung1 : taxes are used for common goods
[2016-06-27 15:16:09] tscha : rofl... no comment
[2016-06-27 15:16:15] bhok : if taxes is for pay healthcare and education i dont see it like a steal
[2016-06-27 15:16:56] bhok : but dont worry
[2016-06-27 15:16:58] jung1 : building streets, cleaning and a lot of stuff that everyone use in cities are from taxes
[2016-06-27 15:17:00] Rado : jung1: keep believing that
[2016-06-27 15:17:06] jung1 : wtf
[2016-06-27 15:17:09] bhok : we are living the collapse of occidental way of life
[2016-06-27 15:17:11] jung1 : how old are you?
[2016-06-27 15:17:59] jung1 : Rado: so you think that bitmex stealing your money here?
[2016-06-27 15:18:03] bhok : price going down
[2016-06-27 15:18:29] Rado : BitMEX is not taxing me
[2016-06-27 15:18:41] Rado : and definitely not against my will
[2016-06-27 15:18:47] bhok : i think would be nice that Bitmex could make the bussines from USA or Europe
[2016-06-27 15:19:13] bhok : but i know regulatory about bitcoin is a pain
[2016-06-27 15:19:57] jung1 : Rado: so what is the difference between taxes and fees?
[2016-06-27 15:20:22] Rado : I told you voluntary participation
[2016-06-27 15:20:38] jung1 : bhok: why? you do not need any veryfications so what is the difference?
[2016-06-27 15:21:07] Rado : If I want my money to be used for war I will give it for that, but I don't want the government to decide for me
[2016-06-27 15:21:12] rapidtrades : +!
[2016-06-27 15:21:12] bhok : difference is i could make legal actions if they scam me more easily
[2016-06-27 15:21:14] bhok : only that
[2016-06-27 15:21:20] rapidtrades : +1 @Rado
[2016-06-27 15:21:50] bhok : well
[2016-06-27 15:21:51] Rado : anyway I will stop there because you can't make people wake up, they need to do that on their own
[2016-06-27 15:22:02] bhok : in Somalia they are very good without government
[2016-06-27 15:22:36] bhok : if you have a comunity you need rules
[2016-06-27 15:22:48] bhok : and youu need someone who apply this rules
[2016-06-27 15:22:50] Rado : bhok: if you don't see how it could work that doesn't mean it is not possible
[2016-06-27 15:23:06] bhok : Rado
[2016-06-27 15:23:18] bhok : we are 7000000000 humans
[2016-06-27 15:23:42] bhok : we are too much
[2016-06-27 15:23:55] bhok : i like a lot Anarchism
[2016-06-27 15:24:12] bhok : but i think it only can works in very small communities where all knows all
[2016-06-27 15:24:13] BitMEX_Wally : adlai: The `/funding` endpoint is for historical funding rates, the current funding rate is on the `/instrument` table as `fundingRate` and the predicted funding rate for next period is `indicativeFundingRate`
[2016-06-27 15:24:34] Rado : agreed bhok
[2016-06-27 15:24:38] Rado : later
[2016-06-27 15:25:28] bhok : sorry
[2016-06-27 15:25:49] bhok : wowowo
[2016-06-27 15:25:53] bhok : 626
[2016-06-27 15:27:57] macios15 : const dump today

[2016-06-27 17:24:05] Skitrx : ?
[2016-06-27 17:25:49] RoftheN : How is Waves relevant to DAO? IT will probably go up a lot after it hits polo
[2016-06-27 17:30:24] Skitrx : its not, but people are idiots
[2016-06-27 17:30:55] jung1 : its more dapp than dao

[2016-06-27 17:33:45] jung1 : bitcoin is dead
[2016-06-27 17:34:32] gustavo7 : i gotta correct, since i tought my block watcher updated
[2016-06-27 17:34:45] gustavo7 : still exactly 3hours10mins till first confirmation
[2016-06-27 17:39:23] gustavo7 : good that the price is up again as i'm cashing out
[2016-06-27 17:45:26] BitMEX_Wally : gustavo7: Our transactions are multi signature so they are larger than usual
[2016-06-27 17:45:45] gustavo7 : LOL now bitgo has an outgoing fee of 0.1%
[2016-06-27 17:45:59] BitMEX_Wally : gustavo7: So 0.0002 fee for a 607 byte transaction is only 33,000 Satoshi per kilobyte
[2016-06-27 17:46:57] gustavo7 : BitMEX_Wally: i know around 600k usually
[2016-06-27 17:47:04] BitMEX_Wally : Which won't get confirmed in 6 blocks: https://bitcoinfees.github.io
[2016-06-27 17:47:23] BitMEX_Wally : 55k will get you in the next block at the moment
[2016-06-27 17:47:43] jung1 : http://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-eu-finance-idUSKCN0ZC152
[2016-06-27 17:47:57] gustavo7 : ye i looked at the 21.co page later and now i know that double my fee would have been better
[2016-06-27 17:48:24] BitMEX_Wally : We might just make 0.0005 be the minimum, rather than the default :P
[2016-06-27 17:49:05] jung1 : BitMEX_Wally: what about https://www.bitgo.com/instant ?
[2016-06-27 17:49:07] jung1 : could be cool
[2016-06-27 17:50:32] gustavo7 : instant isn't supported by bitcoin.de yet
[2016-06-27 17:51:58] nip : BitMEX_Wally: i almost always get next block confirmation with 0.0001. you should let us choose 0.0001 if we want
[2016-06-27 17:53:19] gustavo7 : hm, bitgo multisig is only 400k, both with 1 input 2 out
[2016-06-27 17:53:41] BitMEX_Wally : Depends how many signatures
[2016-06-27 17:54:12] BitMEX_Wally : Assuming you mean 400 bytes?
[2016-06-27 17:54:26] bhok : more signatures are more fees?
[2016-06-27 17:55:02] gustavo7 : yes i mean bytes (don't know how i come to K-bytes)
[2016-06-27 17:55:08] nip : bhok: yeah you can expect miners/nodes to have a minimum per byte fee to include in block/relay
[2016-06-27 17:55:25] gustavo7 : Input Scripts is smaller
[2016-06-27 17:55:43] BitMEX_Wally : nip: Your last withdrawal with 0.0001 took 55 minutes to get into a block
[2016-06-27 17:56:18] BitMEX_Wally : nip: The one before that took 52 minutes
[2016-06-27 17:56:23] nip : BitMEX_Wally: which is fine with me most of the time
[2016-06-27 17:56:42] nip : sometimes the blocks are full but sometimes they are not. i dont want to be forced to pay the higher fee if i dont have to
[2016-06-27 17:57:21] nip : its a little tricky because i never know how many inputs will go into a withdrawal
[2016-06-27 17:57:52] BitMEX_Wally : If I have time I will change the system to charge a flat rate for withdrawals and then BitMEX will pay the correct fee
[2016-06-27 17:58:16] gustavo7 : sure it's preference
[2016-06-27 17:58:59] nip : BitMEX_Wally: that sounds like a good solution
[2016-06-27 17:59:30] gustavo7 : good way to scrape some pennies too ;)
[2016-06-27 18:00:09] gustavo7 : tbh bitmex is handling this all well
[2016-06-27 18:23:01] jung1 : BitMEX_Wally: did you notice any bigger traffic on bitmex after bitfinex issue?
[2016-06-27 18:26:51] BitMEX_Sam : jung1: It's better in general because of the recent movement
[2016-06-27 18:26:57] BitMEX_Sam : Hard to trace it down to a single input
[2016-06-27 18:52:24] nip : plus i think your new contracts are driving more volume
[2016-06-27 19:14:09] wurstgelee : 10 chatlines/day, 5-6 of those by admins.
[2016-06-27 19:14:12] wurstgelee : those were the days
[2016-06-27 19:14:18] wurstgelee : so peaceful....
[2016-06-27 19:14:20] wurstgelee : ;)
[2016-06-27 19:18:05] Skitrx : the other 4 by you? :P
[2016-06-27 19:19:44] RoftheN : Litecoin block halving is in 3 year, when should I buy?
[2016-06-27 19:22:42] bhok : i dont see too much litecoin comunity
[2016-06-27 19:22:52] Rune : RoftheN: at one penny each
[2016-06-27 19:26:41] RoftheN : Who cares about litecoin community, halving is halving. Halvings will not only create attention but also halve the new supply. Same demand + lower supply = higher price
[2016-06-27 19:26:59] bhok : if you want to buy wait until a big dump
[2016-06-27 19:27:39] RoftheN : How smart
[2016-06-27 19:31:41] macios15 : rekt incoming?
[2016-06-27 19:34:35] men : any prediction guys? up or down? :D

[2016-06-27 19:43:17] RoftheN : China should stay up 24/7, I wonder what that would do to world economy

[2016-06-27 19:44:10] bhok : i think world economy is going to collapse before end of year
[2016-06-27 19:44:37] bhok : too much debt and a raquitical growth
[2016-06-27 19:52:05] RoftheN : DAmn why is it so high
[2016-06-27 20:13:27] REKT : Liquidated short on `XBTUSD`: Buy 1354 @ 646.64

[2016-06-27 20:37:02] fineregex : REKT means forced liquidation right, not just stop loss?
[2016-06-27 20:37:20] Tetsuo : yes
[2016-06-27 20:38:20] fineregex : weird, who would start a full leverage short between 600 and 650
[2016-06-27 20:38:31] REKT : Liquidated long on `XBJ24H`: Sell 470 @ 66006.0

[2016-06-27 21:01:24] Tetsuo : Bud spencer is dead, this world is truly going to shit
[2016-06-27 21:08:14] RoftheN : Is it evil to kinda hope for economic collapse simply for my bitcoins to become worth a shitload?
[2016-06-27 21:10:12] Tetsuo : if everything goes to shout your BTC probably won´t help you, so you should only hope for 50% goin to shit
[2016-06-27 21:11:44] RoftheN : But obviously in an economic collapse not everything is going to shit, just a shitload, and then it slowly recovers
[2016-06-27 21:13:37] Tetsuo : RoftheN: how many collapses have you seen before? who says it won´t be way worse then 2008 or the ones before , like 50x worse
[2016-06-27 21:14:18] Tetsuo : so, no you shouldn´t hopre for a collapse as probably millions are going to die and war will start
[2016-06-27 21:15:58] Rune : in a real bad eco collapse bitcoins wont be that much of a safe haven depending on how bad it is
[2016-06-27 21:16:03] Rune : gold is much better
[2016-06-27 21:17:20] Adura : Yeah, you can have your gold stolen without being tortured.
[2016-06-27 21:17:37] Rune : Bitcoin has some of the problems of fiat in a doomsday scenario
[2016-06-27 21:19:52] Rune : bitcoin is very useful now because almost everyone is connected to the internet in some way
[2016-06-27 21:20:17] Rune : in a crazy doomsday scenario that might not be the case
[2016-06-27 21:20:23] Adura : Guns'd be nice by then.

[2016-06-27 21:27:52] seafvasvsdvasvasdv : Last 4 minutes all 0.0448%, but it's still 0.0223% predicted.
